B. Well Mind & Body aims to provide the opportunity for touch, massage and movement to all ages integrating the mind-body connection enhancing one’s well-being. Owner/Operator, Atyia Kane, began her path in health and healing over 10 years ago as a Physical Therapist Assistant and Massage Therapist shortly after. Through her own journey and continued education in Pediatric Massage (CPMT), Infant Massage Education (CEIM) and Yoga Instruction (CYT), sharing her knowledge of wellness has become her life’s work. Currently, Tyia is completing her Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy (2021) from Maryland University of integrated Health.
“I'm learning to slow down and listen to the subtleties. Our bodies work so hard every day. It's only fair that we treat it with care and kindness so it can continue to carry us. We know massage can be relaxing and help ease our body of discomfort. The movement of yoga, it’s mind practices and teachings can yield these same effects. I want to provide an opportunity for others to tune in and become aware of their bodies and explore the effects touch and movement can have on the mind and help restore balance. I want to help change the perception of massage and yoga, especially for my community. Healthy body and healthy mind go hand in hand.” -Tyia
